SHARKS RECALL FORWARDS GOODROW AND CARPENTER

SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forwards Barclay Goodrow (@bgoodrow23) and Ryan Carpenter (@carpydeuces) from  the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (@TheAHL).
 
The 23-year-old Goodrow leads the Barracuda in goals (7), including a hat trick on November 11th at the Texas Stars. He has recorded seven points (7 goals, 0 assists) in 13 AHL games played this season, and is 1st on the team in shooting percentage (25.9%). 
 
Goodrow has played 74 games in the NHL, and recorded 15 points (4 goals, 11 assists). 
 
The six-foot-two, 210-pound forward from Toronto, Ontario, was signed by San Jose on March 6, 2014.
 
Carpenter, 25, is T-3rd on the team for plus/minus (+5) and is 6th on the team in assists (5).  He has tallied two goals and five assists in 12 AHL games this season.   
 
In 164 games in the AHL, Carpenter has registered 98 points (32 goals, 66 assists).  He finished the 2015-16 season as team-leader in points (55) and won the Yanick Dupre Memorial Award for community service.  He made his NHL debut on December 11, 2015 against the Minnesota Wild.
 
A six-foot, 195-pound native of Oviedo, Florida, Carpenter was originally signed as a free agent on March 26, 2014.
 
In a related move, Melker Karlsson was placed on injured reserve.
