SHARKS RECALL FORWARD MARCUS SORENSEN FROM BARRACUDA

SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled Forward Marcus Sorensen (@sorensenmarcus) from the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (@TheAHL).
In 15 games with the Sharks this season, Sorensen has registered three goals, including one game-winner, and ten shots on goal.
Spending part of this season with the Barracuda, Sorensen has scored 18 points (seven goals, 11 assists) in 22 games played.
The five-foot-ten, 175-pound native of Sodertalje, Sweden was originally drafted in the fourth round (106th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators. He was signed as a free agent by San Jose on May 13, 2016.
In addition, Forward Joe Thornton has been placed on Injured Reserve.
