SHARKS REASSIGN FORWARD SORENSEN TO BARRACUDA

SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has reassigned of Forward Marcus Sorensen (@sorensenmarcus) to the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (@TheAHL).
In 13 games with the Sharks this season, Sorensen has registered three goals, including one game-winner, and ten shots on goal.
Spending part of this season with the Barracuda, Sorensen has scored 14 points (5 goals, 9 assists) in 17 games played.
The five-foot-ten, 175-pound native of Sodertalje, Sweden was originally drafted in the fourth round (106th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators. He was signed as a free agent by San Jose on May 13, 2016.
In a related move, Forward Barclay Goodrow (@bgoodrow23) has been activated from Injured Reserve.
Goodrow has recorded two goals, two assists and a plus-three rating in nine games for the Sharks this season.
A six-foot-two, 215-pound native of Toronto, Ontario, Goodrow was signed by San Jose as a free agent on March 6, 2014.
