Sharks Re-Sign Defenseman Karl Stollery
Jun 27, 2015SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has re-signed defenseman Karl Stollery (@StallsK7) to a one-year contract.
The 27-year-old Stollery recorded 20 points (7 goals, 13 assists) and 63 penalty minutes in 60 AHL games split between Lake Erie and Worcester in 2014-15. He appeared in 10 NHL games last season for Colorado and San Jose, recording six penalty minutes.
Stollery has played in 12 career NHL games and has posted eight penalty minutes. In 209 career games played at the AHL level, Stollery has registered 91 points (21 goals, 70 assists), 171 penalty minutes, and a plus-1 rating.
Prior to being signed by Colorado, Stollery played four seasons at Merrimack College, where he served as team captain during his senior season and was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team as a freshman.
A five-foot-eleven, 185-pound native of Camrose, Alberta, Stollery was originally acquired from Colorado on March 2, 2015.
