Oct 9, 2021SAN JOSE BARRACUDA (0-0-0-0) vs COLORADO EAGLES (0-0-0-0)
SATURDAY, OCT. 9 | 5:00 P.M. PT | Budweiser Events Center | Loveland, CO
The Barracuda open its two-game exhibition schedule against the Colorado Eagles on Saturday night at the Budweiser Events Center. It marks the first of two games over the weekend against the Avs affiliate.
The Barracuda and Eagles didn’t face one another in the regular season during the shortened 2020-21 campaign but did collide in a single-elimination play-in game during the playoffs last May. The Barracuda won the only meeting by a score of 5-1 on May 19 at the FivePoint Arena in Irvine, Calif.
The Barracuda’s training camp roster currently stands at 28 players, three goalies, eight defensemen, and 17 forwards. For a current Barracuda training camp roster, click HERE.
Some familiar faces are expected to be in San Jose’s lineup on Saturday, including fourth-year-pro Jayden Halbgewachs, the team’s leading scorer from a season ago Joachim Blichfeld, and 2018 first-round draft pick Ryan Merkley.
Saturday’s game will not be available on AHL TV but Nick Nollenberger will have the call on the Barracuda Audio Network.
The Barracuda open the regular season one week from Sunday in Bakersfield (Oct. 17 – 5 p.m.) and are set to host the Eagles at SAP Center on Oct. 29 (7 p.m.) for the club’s home opener. For ticket information and more details, click HERE.
