SAN DIEGO - The San Jose Barracuda (15-12-0-2) tied a franchise-high with 46 shots on net but allowed a franchise-high four power play goals and fell, 5-0, to the San Diego Gulls(17-13-1-0) on Friday night at a packed Valley View Casino Center.

San Diego opened up the scoring at 5:17 as Dennis Rasmussen found Jared Boll (1) open from below the end line and Boll snapped a shot through Parker Gahagen's five-hole. In the third, San Diego would continue its power-play dominance scoring two more times on the man-advantage. First, Eric Fehr (10) jammed a puck under the five-hole of Gahagen at 7:48, and Sam Carrick (6) put the game well out of reach at 12:03.

Gahagen (2-2) suffered the loss after allowing five goals on 26 shots, while Reto Berra (7-4) made a Gulls franchise-high 46 saves to earn his fourth AHL shutout of his career.
