BARRACUDA TEAM NOTES
The San Jose Barracuda (14-25-2-2) took a two-goal first period lead on Saturday night in Colorado but were eventually ousted in overtime by the Colorado Eagles (26-14-3-1) (Colorado Eagles), 4-3.
PLAYER NOTES
- Josef Korenar (8-14-3) suffered the the OT loss, in his first game back from an injury suffered on January 22, allowing four goals on 35 shots
- Hunter Miska (11-4-3) made 29 saves to earn his fifth-straight win and second over the Barracuda
- Joachim Blichfeld (15) netted his team-leading 15th goal of the year with a first-period tally
- Antti Suomela (5) collected a pair of points (one goal, one assist) in just his second game back from the Sharks after a two and a half month stint in the NHL
- Friday's loss was the Barracuda's seventh in a row (0-5-2) but their first game in which they earned a point over their last six
- Sheldon Dries (17, 18) netted a pair of power-play goals in the win including the OTW and is now fourth in the AHL in PPG (10)
- Trevor Carrick collected a pair of assists, his third multi-assist effort of the season
