Sharks Recall Alex Stalock From San Jose Barracuda

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled goaltender Alex Stalock (@Stalock32) from the San Jose Barracuda (AHL) and reassigned goaltender Troy Grosenick (@TGrose1) to the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda). Stalock had been assigned to the Barracuda on a conditioning assignment.

Stalock, 28, went 2-0-0 with a 1.96 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage in two games with the Barracuda from Jan. 3-6. He has posted a 2-5-0 record with a 2.98 goals-against average and an .893 save percentage in 10 games with the Sharks this season. In 59 career NHL games, Stalock has collected a 23-19-5 record with a 2.34 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage.

The six-foot, 190-poind native of St. Paul, Minnesota, was originally drafted by San Jose in the fourth round (112th overall) of the 2005 NHL Draft.

Grosenick, 26, has compiled a 7-4-3 record with a 3.03 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage in 16 games with the Barracuda this season. In two career NHL games, Grosenick has posted a 1-1-0 record, with a 1.53 goals-against average and a .948 save percentage.

The six-foot-one, 185-pound native of Brookfield, Wisconsin, was signed by San Jose as a free agent on April 8, 2013.
