BEYOND THE REEF
The San Jose Barracuda's charitable arm, Barracuda: Beyond The Reef, is dedicated to fostering community, family, service, and inclusivity. Through meaningful outreach programs, we aim to support local families, strengthen our community, and promote a spirit of service. Rooted in inclusivity, our initiatives ensure that everyone, regardless of background, feels welcome and valued. Together, we strive to make a positive impact, one goal at a time.

PUCKS & PAWS NIGHT #1
In November 2024, we hosted the first Pucks & Paws game, presented by Lagunitas Brewing Co., of the season. While it's a time for fans to bring their furry four-legged friends to the game, it's become so much more. It was a jam-packed few weeks featuring a shelter calendar shoot, a leash and collar drive, and live pet adoptions. Take a closer look at how the hockey team played a starring role in supporting the shelter's mission.

CULTIVATING LITERACY
We had the opportunity to work with Cultivating Literacy in August and December to build reading kits for young students. The organization empowers families with young readers by providing materials and support. These kits help students become confident and joyful readers.

PATH FOOD DRIVE
Because of your generous donations on our December 8 game, we donated tons of nonperishable food items to PATH's pantry location on 4th Street. The organization's mission is to end homelessness for individuals, families and communities.

LOS ANGELES WILDFIRE DONATION DRIVE
We teamed up with the other four California AHL member clubs in collecting items to be donated to those affected by the fires in Los Angeles. During our games on January 10, 25, and 26, we pledged all of our Chuck-A-Puck earnings to the LAFD Foundation.

ONE MORE CHAPTER BOOK DRIVE
Another donation drive in the books (literally)! We received almost 700 books during our first book drive on Saturday, February 8 during our One More Chapter game. We're bringing these books to various organizations around the Bay Area to encourage reading at all ages.
OLD ORCHARD HOCKEY CLINIC
Pavol Regenda, Mitchell Russell, Brandon Coe, and Gabriel Carriere took a trip to Old Orchard School on February 25. The players led a street hockey clinic for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes. Students learned how to hold a stick properly, worked on some stick handling and passing, and took their best shot on net.

CONVOY OF HOPE
On March 11 and 12, we partnered with Convoy of Hope to help combat hunger in the San Jose area. We packaged 1,500 bags with non-perishable food items. Then, those bags were given out to various organizations in a drive-thru manner at Tech CU Arena.
