SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has reassigned defenseman Dylan DeMelo (@ddems2) to the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda) of the American Hockey League (@theAHL).
  
DeMelo, 22, has posted two goals, two assists and 26 shots in 33 games with the Sharks this season. He has appeared in 13 games with the Barracuda recording five assists and a +1 rating.

A six-foot-one, 195-pound native of London, Ontario, DeMelo was originally drafted by San Jose in the sixth round (179th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.
