SAN JOSE, CA (April 12, 2021) - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has acquired a 2022 fifth-round selection (Buffalo’s selection) from the Vegas Golden Knights in a three-team trade between the Sharks, Golden Knights and Chicago Blackhawks.

San Jose acquires Buffalo’s 2022 fifth-round draft selection from Vegas and sends defenseman Nick DeSimone to Vegas.

As part of the three-way transaction, San Jose also retains 25% of Mattias Janmark’s salary from Chicago.

DeSimone, 26, was signed as a free agent by the Sharks on March 30, 2017. He has spent the past four seasons with the San Jose Barracuda.
