The American Hockey League announced today that San Jose Barracuda forward John McCarthy has been selected as the CCM/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Mar. 11, 2018.

The San Jose Barracuda (26-22-3-3) held the Cleveland Monsters (20-31-4-3) scoreless Saturday night, topping the Blue Jackets affiliate, 4-0, at SAP Center in front of a record 8,046 fans. The win completed a perfect 4-and-0 home stand.

The San Jose Barracuda (25-22-3-3) fought through a back-and-forth first two periods before exploding offensively in the final frame to take down the Cleveland Monsters (20-30-4-3) on Friday night at SAP Center, 6-2.
