Tonight’s Matchup: On Wednesday, the San Jose Barracuda and Texas Stars wrap up their four-game season series. San Jose enters the matchup riding a 14-game winning streak, six-game home winning streak and the best overall and home winning percentage in the AHL (Overall: .729/Home: .783), while Texas has lost six in a row and all five games during their current six-game road trip. San Jose is 2-1-0 during the season against Texas and has won the last two matchups.

Best of the West: For the first time in team history, the San Jose Barracuda sit atop the AHL with a .728 winning percentage. San Jose is riding a franchise-long 14-game winning streak, eight-game road winning streak, and a six-game home winning streak. Before the stretch, the longest winning streak (2004-present) by a Sharks affiliate came in the 2014-15 season when the Worcester Sharks won eight in a row from January 4-21, 2014.

Dynamic Danny: Among rookies, Barracuda All-Star forward Danny O’Regan is first in points (16+28=45), first in assists, T-9th in goals, and T-12th overall in the AHL in points. O'Regan is T-second on the Barracuda goals, first in points and second in assists.

Oh Boy Troy: Barracuda All-Star netminder Troy Grosenick is riding a career-long 12-game winning streak and is first in the AHL in shutouts (7), first in goals-against average (2.04), first in save percentage (.930) and fourth in wins (21).

Deadline Deal: The San Jose Sharks shipped former first-round pick Nikolay Goldobin and a fourth-round selection in next years draft to the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday in exchange for forward Jannik Hansen. Goldobin tied for the Barracuda team-lead in goals (21) in his rookie campaign in 2015-16 and was currently sitting at third in points for San Jose (AHL) (15+26=41), third in assists and fourth in goals. Goldobin has played 11 games for the San Jose Sharks over two season recording two points (1+1=2) and an even rating.

San Jose’s Last Time Out: The San Jose Barracuda used two unanswered third-period goals to extend their winning streak to 13-straight games as they topped the Tucson Roadrunners, 4-3, at the Tucson Arena on Friday night. Troy Grosenick made 21 saves to earn his 11th W in a row, and Buddy Robinson (11), Nikita Jevpalovs (11), Rourke Chartier (11) and Marcus Sorensen (15) all scored in the victory. San Jose went 0-for-5 on the power play, but Chartier netted the club's ninth shorthanded goal of the season in the victory.

Texas’s Last Time Out: Bakersfield’s Josh Currie potted a hat-trick, Nick Ellis made all 28 saves, and the Bakersfield Condors blanked the Texas Stars, 5-0, at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield on Tuesday night. Joey LaLeggia and Patrick Russell also tallied in the win. The Condors were 3-for-4 on the PP while Texas went 0-for-2 on the man-advantage.
