Sharks Reassign Three Players
Nov 8, 2015SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has reassigned forwards Bryan Lerg (@blerg11), Nikolay Goldobin (@goldobin78) and defenseman Mark Cundari to the San Jose Barracuda (AHL).
Lerg, 29, has posted three goals, one assist and 11 shots on goal in four games as the captain of the Barracuda, ranking 2nd on the team in goals and T-3rd in points. He has appeared in six games with the Sharks this season.
A five-foot-ten, 175-pound native of Livonia, Michigan, Lerg was signed as a free agent by San Jose on July 10, 2014.
The 20-year-old Goldobin has posted one goal, one assist and 11 shots on goal in five games with the Barracuda this season. Goldobin scored his first career point, a goal, on October 17th in New York against the Islanders. In five games with the Sharks this season, Goldobin has registered one goal, one assist and a +1 rating and six shots on goal.
A five-foot-eleven, 185-pound native of Moscow, Russia, Goldobin was originally drafted by San Jose in the first round (27th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft.
Cundari, 25, has appeared in six games with the Barracuda this season. He has appeared in eight career NHL games with the Calgary Flames, posting one goal and two assists.
A five-foot-ten, 195-pound native of Toronto, Ontario, Cundari was signed by San Jose as a free agent on July 2, 2015.
