SHARKS REASSIGN DEFENSEMAN JACOB MIDDLETON TO SAN JOSE BARRACUDA

SAN JOSE, CA San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) general manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has activated defenseman Jacob Middleton off Injured Reserve and reassigned to the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). 

Middleton, 23, appeared in one game this season for the Sharks. In his NHL career, Middleton has skated in four games for San Jose, registering his first career NHL point Apr. 4, 2019 at Edmonton. Middleton made his NHL debut Jan. 5, 2019 vs Tampa Bay Lightning. Last season, Middleton primarily skated for the Barracuda, recording 19 points (five goals, 14 assists) with a plus-16 rating in 57 games played.

The six-foot-three, 210-pound native of Stratford, Ontario, was signed by San Jose as a free agent September 7, 2017.
