Home Cookin’: After a five-game, 11-day road trip, the Barracuda return to Tech CU Arena on Wednesday to faceoff with the Henderson Silver Knights (Vegas Golden Knights), beginning the final homestand of the season. The Barracuda are 2-3-2-0 versus the Silver Knights this season, 1-1-1-0 at Tech CU Arena. Wednesday marks the final meeting on the eight-game season series and the first since Dec. 23 (2-3 L).

Road Trip Wrap: The Barracuda took a 2-0 lead at Ontario on Saturday night as Danil Gushchin and Tristen Robins scored. But the Reign managed to answer with a pair before claiming a 3-2 win in a shootout. Georgi Romanov was brilliant despite taking the loss, making 41 stops. Romanov now has a 1.96 GAA and .948 SV% over his last three games.

Fil the Thrill: Sharks 2022 first-rounder Filip Bystedt collected three points (2+1=3) on Wednesday, becoming just the third player in franchise history to score three points and two goals in his AHL debut (Dylan Gambrell ’18-19, Evan Weinger ’18-19). The 20-year-old is the youngest to accomplish the feat. Before joining the Barracuda, Bystedt skated in 47 games with Linkoping of the SHL, recording 17 points (8+9=17) and a plus-six rating.

Tommy Gun: Among AHL blueliners, Cuda defenseman Jack Thompson is first in power-play points (21), T-second in power-play assists (18), and T-seventh in scoring (38).

Full Deck: Among league rookies, Ethan Cardwell ranks T-third in goals (21), fourth in shots (155), and T-ninth in points (40). In franchise history, he is just the eighth rookie to reach the 20-goal mark and 40-point mark. Versus the Knights, Cardwell is first on the team in goals (4) and second in points (6).

Gush Going: Danil Gushchin’s point (2+7=8) and assist streaks were snapped at a career-long seven games on Thursday but the sophomore forward still ranks first on the team in points-per-game (.91). Despite missing 13 games with an upper-body injury from Jan. 27 to Feb. 28, he ranks first on the team in shots (199), T-first in power-play goals (5), second in points (48), and fourth in assists (31). Versus the Knights, Gushchin has a series-high 11 points (2+9=11) in seven games.
