Des Moines - Picking up the season opener victory against the Iowa Wild Friday night, the Barracuda look to do it again on Saturday – but even better.
With a seven-round shootout Friday night that Barracuda captain Andrew Agozzino ended the game, beating Wild netminder Jesper Wallstedt.
SPECIAL TEAMS SECRETS…
The Barracuda penalty killers had their work cut out for them Friday as the team allowed the Wild seven power plays. The PK units were up to the task, however, with the team finishing the night 7/7. While Barracuda head coach John McCarthy will undoubtedly be looking for his team to stay out of the box, it will be interesting to see if the they can keep up their PK success.
On the other side, the Barracuda went 1/6 on the man advantage Friday with a power-play goal from Scott Reedy. A number they will be looking to improve this season, beginning Saturday.
LOOKING FOR…
A quick start to keep momentum going from Friday but stamina throughout the game will be key to picking up a second victory in Iowa in as many days.
