Apr 17, 2021San Jose, CA – The San Jose Barracuda (12-9-4-2) dropped into a two-goal hole in the second period on Saturday at the SAP Center before reeling off four-straight goals en-route to 4-2 win over the Texas Stars (Dallas Stars) (12-14-2-0). The win marked the first time this season that the Barracuda have won three in a row and are three games above .500.
• Alexei Melnichuk (4-5-3) made 24 saves on 26 shots, capturing consecutive wins for the first time this season
• Colton Point (6-5-0) allowed three goals on 21 shots and finished the season 0-2 against the Barracuda in three games
• The Barracuda finished the head-to-head series with the Stars with a 4-2 record and are now 13-6-1-2 lifetime against Texas
• Scott Reedy (3) scored in his second-straight game, his first PPG of his AHL career, and now has goals in three of his first eight professional games
• Steenn Pasichnuk (2) scored for the second-straight game and now has two goals in four professional games
• Ryan Merkley collected an assist and now leads all Barracuda rookies in points (1+8=9)
• Alex True skated in his 200th AHL game on Saturday, the third most in Barracuda franchise history
