San Jose held its first regulation lead of the season and battled back to tie the game before Calgary pulled away in the final minute. The Barracuda generated 29 scoring chances, including six Grade-A opportunities, while Calgary finished with 30 chances and 10 Grade-A looks. REINFORCEMENTS ARRIVE: The Barracuda received a pair of reinforcements from the Sharks on Thursday, with forwards Alex Barré-Boulet and Cam Lund being assigned to the AHL after both had been sidelined by injuries. An AHL First Team All-Star last season, Barré-Boulet has been one of the league’s most productive forwards since turning pro in 2018. He finished second in the AHL in scoring in 2022-23 with a career-high 84 points (24 goals, 60 assists). Lund, a second-round pick (34th overall) by the Sharks in the 2022 NHL Draft, was named an AHL All-Star during his rookie campaign last season before his year was cut short by injury.
HEY, FELHA: Barracuda forward Tye Felhaber is set to skate in his 300th career AHL game on Friday against the Calgary Wranglers. The veteran winger is in his first season with the Sharks org. Before joining San Jose, Felhaber spent the previous two seasons with the Colorado Eagles, posting AHL career highs in goals (22), assists (22) and points (44) during the 2024-25 campaign. That same season, he made his NHL debut with the Colorado Avalanche on Dec. 16, 2024, against Vancouver, appearing in five NHL games.
AYE AYE, CAPTAIN: The Barracuda named forward Jimmy Huntington the seventh captain in franchise history on Oct. 2. In his first season with San Jose a year ago, the Laval, Quebec, native posted a career-high 48 points (15 goals, 33 assists) in 71 games, finishing tied for second on the team in scoring and earning the Barracuda's Fan Favorite award. Huntington has recorded four points (three goals, one assist) through three games this season, highlighted by a three-point performance (two goals, one assist) on Oct. 9 against Tucson. He also registered a team-high six shots in the contest before missing the following two games due to injury. Huntington won the 2024 Calder Cup with the Hershey Bears.
FIL THE THRILL: Sharks' 2022 first-round pick Filip Bystedt has recorded five points (three goals, two assists) through San Jose's first four games of the season. The 22-year-old center collected three points (two goals, one assist) in the Barracuda's 5-4 overtime win against San Diego on Oct. 4, reaching the 100-point milestone in his AHL career. He followed with a power-play goal and an assist against Tucson on Oct. 9, giving him back-to-back multi-point performances. Bystedt led the Barracuda last season in points (60), assists (38), game-winning goals (6) and overtime goals (2), while finishing second in goals (22).

At Tech CU Arena, the Barracuda went 3-0-1-0 against Calgary last season, outscoring the Wranglers 18-7.
