Henderson Hookup: The Barracuda continue their four-game homestand on Friday with the first of back-to-back games against the Henderson Silver Knights (Vegas Golden Knights). The Barracuda are 1-2-0-1 against the Silver Knights this season and are coming off a 4-2 win over Henderson in the most recent meeting on April 7 at Solar4America Ice.

Moving on Up: On Thursday the Sharks recalled forward Ivan Chekhovich from the Barracuda for their two-game road trip in Colorado and reassigned defenseman Brinson Pasichnuk back to the AHL after he made his NHL debut on Wednesday in a 4-2 win against the Arizona Coyotes. The Barracuda also recalled defenseman Karlis Cukste from the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL after Jake Middleton suffered an injury on Tuesday in a 4-2 win over Bakersfield.

Rookies Rising: On Sunday, rookies Scott Reedy (1+2=3) and Jake McGrew (1+2=3) each recorded the first three-point game of their career. Reedy, who finished up his senior season at Minnesota in early April, now has six points (3+3=6) over his last seven games. McGrew had not played the two games prior but doubled his season point totals after Sunday and then scored again on Tuesday.

Halbs Heating Up: Barracuda forward Jayden Halbgewachs missed nine games with an injury before returning to San Jose’s lineup on Wednesday and now has four points in his last three games. Halbgewachs snapped a nine-game goalless drought with his goal on Sunday and then scored again on Tuesday. A year ago, he led the Barracuda with 19 goals.

Knight and Day: After beginning the season 20-6 through their first 26 games, the Silver Knights are just 1-5 over their last six games, scoring just one goal in four of those games. Silver Knights defenseman Ryan Murphy leads AHL blueliners in scoring (22), assists (17), power-play assists (10), power-play points (11), and shots (70). And Silver Knights rookie Jack Dugan ranks second among freshman in points (25), T-first in assists (20), first in power-play assists (11) and second in power-play assists (11).
