Knight Light: The Barracuda continue their four-game homestand on Saturday as they host the Henderson Silver Knights for the first game of a two-game series. The Barracuda are 4-1-0-1 against the Golden Knights affiliate and 1-0-0-1 at home.

Wednesday Woes: The Barracuda returned to Tech CU Arena on Wednesday Night, and despite being tied late in the third period, would fall 3-2 to Bakersfield Condors after giving up a goal in the final five minutes. In the loss, Thomas Bordeleau and Danil Gushchin found the back of the net and Gabe Carriere made a career-high 37 saves.

Powering Up: The Barracuda have scored 10 times on the power play (10/34=29%) over their last 10 games and now rank second in the AHL on the PP (22.7%). Against the Knights, the Barracuda are 4-for-21 (19%) on the advantage. Defenseman Lucas Carlsson leads the way with a pair of PPG, both notched on Dec. 28 at Henderson (5-2 W).

Hot Pot: AHL All-Star Andrew Poturalski buried his 21st goal of the year on Sunday and is now up to a league-high 51 points. With the goal, the veteran forward has points in 10 of 12 (6+9=15). He is T-fifth in the AHL in goals, and T-fourth in assists (30) and power-play goals (9). In six games against the Knights this season, he has a team-high four goals.

Luca Lightning: Rookie defenseman Luca Cagnoni is pacing the AHL in power-play points (26), ranks second in power-play assists (17), and is T-fourth in power-play goals (9). Among league blueliners, he is first in power-play points and assists, second in goals (13) and power-play goals, and T-third in points (37). In six games versus the Knights, he has three goals and an assist.

Henderson Heating Up: The Knights have won their last two games and are 8-2 over their last 10, and 13-4 in their last 17. Goaltender Carl Lindbom has won seven in a row and 10 of 11. The Knights finished February with a 2-1 win over Coachella Valley on Wednesday, going 9-2 in the month. HSK went 2-for-4 on the power play in Wednesday's win and are now 8-for-22 (36%) over the last six games.

Cuda Killer: Vegas native Gage Quinney has 34 points (13+21=34) in 29 career games versus the Barracuda and points in the last three meetings (0+4=4). Quinney is pacing the Knights in points versus the Barracuda this year with six (1+5=6) in six outings. The 29-year-old is first on the Knights in scoring (31) and second in assists (23) and power-play goals (4). Gage’s dad, Ken, played five seasons for the IHL’s Las Vegas Thunder from 1993-1998.
