WINNIPEG, MB - The San Jose Barracuda (15-12-0-2) allowed three power-play goals on a season-high 12 penalty kills and couldn't overcome the adversity, falling 5-2 to the Manitoba Moose (24-5-1-2) at Bell MTS Place on Sunday night.
 
The Moose opened up the scoring just 22 seconds into the first power play of the game as Michael Spacek (5) fired a left point shot off a Barracuda stick and past Antoine Bibeau at 4:22. The Moose would add to their lead at 11:17 when Mike Sgarbossa found Chase De Leo (7) in the low slot from below the end line.
 
In the second, just after San Jose weathered a flurry of Moose shorthanded chances, Brandon Mashinter (6) swiped a puck along the goal line and through Michael Hutchinson's five-hole at 8:20. Adam Helewka (5) would complete the comeback after Rudolfs Balcers found him wide open at the right circle and Helewka would look off Hutchinson before sliding it through his five-hole at 10:35. De Leo (8) regained his clubs lead at 13:27 on the power play and the score would stay 3-2 heading into the third.
 
In the final frame, Buddy Robinson (13) waited just 32 seconds to push his club back up by a pair after Peter Stoykewych's shot rolled up his back and into the net. Nick Petan (7) would put the game out of reach with a power-play goal from the far circle at 13:28.
 
Bibeau (8-7-0-0) suffered the loss after allowing five goals on 38 shots while Hutchinson claimed the win by making 21 saves on 23 shots.
