
Barracuda Officially Sign Four for 2025-26 Season
San Jose, Ca. – The San Jose Barracuda (@SJBarracuda), top affiliate of the San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks), and General Manager Joe Will announced today that the team has signed forwards Anthony Vincent, Donavan Houle, Lucas Vanroboys, and defenseman Braden Haché to AHL contracts for the 2025-26 season. Per club policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Anthony Vincent
Vincent, 27, set career highs across all scoring categories at the AHL level, logging 10 goals and nine assists in 68 regular-season games. His goal production tied him for eighth among ‘Cuda forwards. Vincent skated in six postseason games and netted his first-career AHL postseason goal on Apr. 26 at Ontario, helping the Barracuda secure their first playoff series victory since 2017.
Before joining the Barracuda, Vincent finished his college career with Long Island University in 2022-23, his fifth season in the NCAA, previously skating with the College of Holy Cross (2018-22). The Long Island University team alternate captain led his club in goals (17) and points (37). He recorded 86 career points (34 goals, 52 assists) in 137 games at the NCAA level.
Additionally, the six-foot, 190-pound native of Wilton, Connecticut, spent two seasons with the Chilliwack Chiefs (BCHL). He finished his BCHL career skating in 79 games and recorded 12 goals and 25 assists. The team's alternate captain helped his club reach the playoffs in both seasons, tallying 20 points (six goals, 14 assists) in 27 games.
Donavan Houle
Houle, 25, finished fourth in games played (64 games) among the Barracuda. During the regular season, he tallied 24 points (10 goals, 14 assists), finishing tied for eighth in goals, ninth in assists, and 10th in points among ‘Cuda forwards. Houle skated in five postseason games, including Game 1 and Game 2 of the opening round series sweep of the Calder Cup Playoffs in the Pacific Division at Ontario.
Prior to jumping into the AHL, Houle skated at the University of Maine from 2020-24. In his final collegiate campaign, he posted career highs in points (24) and assists (15), ranking fifth in points and sixth in assists among his team. He posted a total of 28 goals and 36 assists in his four years with the University of Maine.
The six-foot-one, 195-pound native of Montréal, Quebec, also spent three seasons with the Flin Flon Bombers in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL), recording 134 points (56 goals, 78 assists) in 155 career games. Houle hit the 40-point mark in consecutive seasons (2018-19 and 2019-20).
Lucas Vanroboys
Vanroboys, 25, led the club in games played (69 games) and collected 16 points (11 goals, five assists) during his regular season run. His goal total placed him tied for seventh among Barracuda skaters during the regular season. Vanroboys skated in five postseason contests with the Barracuda.
He made his AHL debut with the Barracuda on Apr. 3, 2024, at San Diego Gulls after spending four years at Bentley University and finished his collegiate career at UMass. In his NCAA career, Vanroboys skated in 140 games with 14 goals and 38 assists. His best season points production at the NCAA level came during his 2022-23 campaign with Bentley, posting 20 points (four goals, 16 assists).
Before college, the six-foot-two, 175-pounder native of Thamesville, Ontario, spent two seasons in the BCHL, splitting his 2018-19 season between the Cowichan Valley Capitals and Prince George Spruce Kings, helping Prince George to a BCHL Championship, and spent one season with Nanaimo Clippers (2017-18). Over his career in the BCHL, he tallied 24 goals and 23 assists in 93 games.
Braden Haché
Haché, 22, split his 2024-25 season between the Barracuda and the Wichita Thunder. In his first professional season, he skated in 32 games with the Barracuda and 33 games with the Thunder. Haché tallied 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in his time with the ‘Cuda, finishing tied for fourth among his club’s blueliners in goals, seventh in points, and tied for eighth in assists. Hache played in six AHL postseason games.
While with the Thunder, he tallied two goals and 14 assists. Among ECHL U-22 defensemen, he ranked tied for seventh in assists and tied 11th in points (16). Among Thunder blueliners, he finished fourth in points and assists.
Prior to his time in the AHL and ECHL, the six-foot-three, 210-pound native of Newmarket, Ontario, spent five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League OHL (Kingston Frontenacs, Barrie Colts, and Saginaw Spirit). Haché helped Saginaw win the Memorial Cup as the team captain during his 2023-24 campaign, tallying one goal in the tournament. In 217 career OHL games, he recorded 15 goals and 36 assists.
