The San Jose Barracuda make a pair of roster moves

San Jose, Calif. - The San Jose Barracuda (@SJBarracuda) presented by Barracuda Networks (@barracuda) and General Manager Joe Will officially announced today that the team has recalled goaltender Jamie Murray (@Scitownsiv) from its ECHL affiliate the Allen Americans (@AllenAmericans) and reassigned defenseman Jason Fram (@jasonfram95) to Allen.
The 25-year-old Murray was signed last spring by the San Jose Barracuda after an illustrious career at Babson College (NCAA DIII). During four years at Babson, Murray (6-3/170) went 62-20-9 with a 1.69 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage. Through 14 career pro games, all with Allen, Murray is 3-6-2 with a 2.61 goals-against average and .922 save percentage.
Fram (5-11/194) signed a one-year AHL contract with the Barracuda after earning a job in camp this fall. Before this season, the 21-year-old played 308 games in the Western Hockey League (WHL) over five years all with the Spokane Chiefs. Fram accumulated 187 points over the five seasons (32-155-187), 118 penalty minutes and a plus-42 rating. Fram appeared in two games for the Barracuda this season registering zero points.
The San Jose Barracuda return home on Friday, November 25 after a six-game road trip. San Jose will welcome in the Bakersfield Condors for Star Wars Night at SAP Center, starting at 6 p.m. Friday is the first Freebie Friday of the season, which includes 2-for-1 tickets, 2-for-1 hot dogs and $5 beers. Fans are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of San Clara and San Mateo County.
