SHARKS SIGN FORWARD NOAH GREGOR

SAN JOSE, CA - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has signed Forward Noah Gregor (@n_gregs20) to a standard, entry-level contract. 
 
"Noah's taken his game to a whole new level during Victoria's postseason run, and has shown that he can be a difference maker at both ends of the ice," said Wilson. "His combination of talent, hockey sense, speed and hard-working nature make him a player that can be counted on in all facets of the game and we look forward to his continued development."
 
Gregor, 19, ranked second in shots on goal (240), third in goals (29), fourth in points (65) and fifth in assists (36) after splitting time between the Victoria Royals (@victoriaroyals) and Moose Jaw Warriors (@MJWARRIORS) of the WHL (@TheWHL) during the 2017-18 season. Through Victoria's first ten postseason games, the center has tallied ten points, which is good for third on the team and T-14th in the league, during the 2018 WHL Playoffs. His four goals and 24 shots on goal rank second on the team, while he ranks third in assists (6) as the Royals advanced to the second round.  
 
Through three-plus junior seasons, Gregor has appeared in 194 career WHL games with the Warriors and Royals, amassing 205 points (86 goals, 119 assists) and has added 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) in 24 playoff contests. During his rookie season in 2015-16, Gregor appeared in the CHL Top Prospects Game and led all WHL rookies with 45 helpers. The pivot also represented the WHL All-Stars in the 2017-18 Canada/Russia Series. In addition, Gregor was teammates on Moose Jaw with fellow Sharks prospect Jayden Halbgewachs from 2014-17. 
 
Internationally, Gregor skated with Team Canada at the 2016 U-18 World Junior Championship where he posted two assists in five games.  
 
The six-foot, 185-pound native of Beaumont, Alberta, was originally drafted by San Jose in the fourth round (111th overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft.
