Sharks Recall Mirco Mueller And Micheal Haley
Oct 21, 2015SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Mirco Mueller (@muellermirco) and forward Micheal Haley from the San Jose Barracuda (AHL, @sjbarracuda).
Mueller, 20, has posted one assist and a plus-1 rating in three games with the Barracuda this season. He made his NHL debut in 2014-15, recording one goal and three assists in 39 games with the Sharks. In addition, he added one goal in three games with Worcester (AHL) last season.
A six-foot-three, 210-pound native of Winterthur, Switzerland, Mueller was originally drafted by San Jose in the first round (18th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft.
The 29-year-old Haley currently leads all Barracuda skaters with four goals and six points (two assists) in three AHL games this season. He scored the first goal in Barracuda history and also paces the team two power-play tallies. In 56 career NHL games with the NY Islanders, NY Rangers and Sharks, Haley has recorded two goals, one assist and 174 penalty minutes.
The five-foot-ten, 205 native of Guelph, Ontario, was signed by San Jose as a free agent on July 10, 2014.
In related moves, defenseman Dylan DeMelo (@ddems2) and forwards Nikolay Goldobin (@goldobin78) and Bryan Lerg (@blerg11) were reassigned to San Jose (AHL).
