Sharks Recall Mirco Mueller
Dec 5, 2015SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Mirco Mueller (@muellermirco) from the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda) of the American Hockey League.
Mueller, 20, has posted one goal and one assist and a plus-1 rating in six games with the Barracuda this season. He has appeared in seven games with the Sharks this season, and made his NHL debut in 2014-15, recording one goal and three assists in 39 games with the Sharks. In addition, he added one goal in three games with Worcester (AHL) last season.
A six-foot-three, 210-pound native of Winterthur, Switzerland, Mueller was originally drafted by San Jose in the first round (18th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft.
In a related move, forward Micheal Haley was reassigned to the Barracuda.
Haley has posted six points (four goals, two assists) in seven games with the Baracuda this season. He has appeared in eight games with the Sharks this season, posting 20 penalty minutes.
The five-foot-ten, 205-pound native of Guelph, Ontario, was signed by San Jose as a free agent on July 10, 2014.
