“Nicolas is a competitive defenseman who can effectively play at both ends of the ice,” said Wilson. “He plays a physical game and has a quality shot that allows him to play in many different situations and we’re looking forward to seeing him take the next step this upcoming season.”

Meloche, 23, spent the 2019-20 season with the San Jose Barracuda, appearing in 41 games and recording seven assists with 34 penalty minutes and a plus-one rating.
