Wild ‘n Out: After a 4-3 loss to the Wild on Tuesday, the Barracuda wrap up its four-game season series on Wednesday with Iowa and continue its season-long six-game homestand. The Barracuda began the season with a pair of wins at Iowa on Oct. 14 and 15 and are 8-3-2-0 all-time against Minnesota’s top farm team and 4-2 at home.

Big Fish, Small Pond: The Sharks recalled goaltender Aaron Dell on Saturday and placed netminder James Reimer on injured reserve. And then, on Monday, recalled defenseman Scott Harrington and forward Jeff Viel from the Barracuda, and in a corresponding move put defenseman Mario Ferraro on IR. The Barracuda signed defenseman Jalen Smereck to a PTO on Saturday and Darren Brady to a PTO on Tuesday to help bolster a depleted blueline.

Rookie Arrivals: Rookies Thomas Bordeleau (8), Tristen Robins (7), William Eklund (4), Danil Gushchin (4), Brandon Coe (2), and Ozzy Wiesblatt (1) have accounted for 26 of the Barracuda’s 51 goals scored this year (51%). The most among any rookie class this season. Wiesblatt (Rd 1, 31st overall), Bordeleau (Rd 2, 38th Overall), Robins (Rd 2, 56th Overall), Gushchin (Rd 3, 76th Overall), and Coe (Rd 4, 98th Overall) were all part of the Sharks' historic nine-forward draft class in 2020.

Powering Up: The Barracuda netted a power play in its sixth consecutive game on Tuesday (7/27=26%), and now has power play goals in seven of its last eight games.

El Cap:  Barracuda captain Andrew Agozzino scored on Tuesday and now has points in seven of his last eight games (4+5=9). Agozzino leads the group in points (16), assists (11), shots (53), power-play assists (6), and insurance goals (2). The 10-year vet is just two goals shy of 200 in the AHL.
