Barracuda vs. Bakersfield Condors Preview

The San Jose Barracuda and the Bakersfield Condors (AHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers) meet for the 2nd of 12 meetings this season, the 1st of six meetings at the SAP Center. The Barracuda are 1-0-0-0 vs. the Condors this season and are 1-0-0-0 in one career matchup. The Barracuda wrap up a three game home stand today (1-1-0-0) before embarking on a season long seven game road trip which begins on Wednesday in Ontario. Bakersfield is now 1-2-0-0 on their five game road trip which ends in San Diego on Wednesday. The Barracuda and the Condors meet again in Bakersfield on Nov 18 at 10:30am during a school day game.
In case you missed it…
The San Jose Barracuda (3-4-0-1, 7pts) presented by Barracuda Networks lost 3-2 in regulation to the visiting San Diego Gulls (8-2-0-0, 16pts) in front of 4,053 fans at the SAP Center on Saturday afternoon. Barclay Goodrow (1-0-1) and Nikita Jevpalovs (1-0-1) scored the Barracuda’s two goals. Mike Sgarbossa (2-0-2) lead the way offensively for the Gulls scoring the first two goals with Joseph Cramarossa (1-0-1) scoring the game-winner late in the third period. John Gibson went the distance for the Gulls making 31 saves in his 6th win of the season. Troy Grosenick played made 25 saves in the loss for the Barracuda.
Matthew Ford and Brad Hunt scored second period goals for the Condors while Laurent Brossoit made 31 saves in net as the Condors defeated the Heat 2-1 in Stockton on Friday night.
