BARRACUDA RECALL DEFENSEMAN RUOPP

San Jose, CA - The San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), presented by Barracuda Networks (@barracuda), and General Manager Joe Will announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Harrison Ruopp (@_ruoppster) from the Allen Americans (@AllenAmericans), the team's ECHL affiliate (@ECHL).
The 23-year-old defenseman from Zehner, Saskatchewan, was originally drafted by Arizona Coyotes in the third round (#84 overall) of the 2011 NHL draft. In three games played for the Barracuda this season, Ruopp recorded zero points and a plus-three rating. The 6-foot-3, 192-pound blueliner has played in 30 games for the Americans this season registering six points (1+5=6), 58 penalty minutes and a minus-11 rating.
Prior to the 2015-16 season, Ruopp appeared in 40 games for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL) and 80 games for the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) totaling 10 points (2+8=10), 233 penalty minutes and a minus-one rating over three years.
