Barracuda Players Looking for Championship Season
Jun 1, 2016The San Jose Barracuda season may be over, but there are several players that suited up for the Barracuda this season who will be gunning for the Stanley Cup and the Kelly Cup!
The San Jose Sharks will have plenty of help from their AHL affiliate in their quest for their first Stanley Cup in franchise history as they battle the Pittsburgh Penguins. With the series already underway, there are several players that have ties to the San Jose Barracuda.
Players currently on the Sharks that played for the Barracuda this season:
- Micheal Haley
- Ryan Carpenter (Black Ace)
- Barclay Goodrow
- Mirco Mueller (Black Ace)
- Dylan DeMelo
- Chris Tierney
- Melker Karlsson
- Matt Tennyson
- Aaron Dell
- Nikolay Goldobin (Black Ace)
The Sharks have plenty of other players that have dressed for the Sharks AHL affiliate while the team played in Worcester, which include:
- Logan Couture
- Joe Pavelski
- Marc-Edouard Vlasic
- Tomas Hertl
- Justin Braun
- Matt Nieto
- Tommy Wingels
The San Jose Barracuda’s ECHL affiliate Allen Americans are playing the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins) in the Kelly Cup Finals. Players currently on the Americans roster that suited up for the Barracuda this season:

- Greger Hanson
- Gary Steffes
- Joel Rumpel
- Vincent Arseneau
- Rick Pinkston
In addition, Mark Cundari (Lake Erie Monsters in the Calder Cup Final) will battle the Hershey Bears in the Calder Cup Final.
